Design

Your store design may determine the success of your online business.

It has been well known that customers visiting a website will make a decision to continue within the first couple of seconds of landing on your site. There are a couple of options with Dremus; you can install a Free or Premium Theme from our Store and switch out your logo and other brand specific images, or build a theme from scratch.

Your store themes are located under Design -> Themes. You may activate any theme whenever you like, your store will be updated immediately.

Installing a new theme

We offer a bunch of Free and Premium themes available for installation in our Theme Store. To install a theme, select the theme you like and click Get theme. You'll be directed to your Dremus Dashboard and asked to confirm the installation - if it's a premium theme you're credit card assigned to your billing details will be charged.

Editing HTML

Regardless of whether you installed a Free or Premium theme, you have full access to the design code. To edit the code, select the theme you wish to edit and select the Templates tab. Before tinkering around the templates its expected you have a basic understanding of Web Design (HTML/CSS/JS) etc.

Dremus themes use a template/tag language which allows simple implementation of complex objects. For help with what tags are available to specific pages and layouts see our Template Guide

Assets

Dremus assets are all static elements which you can reference within your theme. We use a lightening fast CDN (Content delivery network) to deliver these up on your store to ensure maximum web performance. Assets might include: image, java-script, static CSS files, movies etc. To use an asset within your theme simply reference it as follows {{ 'yourasset.png' | asset_url }}

Settings

Dremus settings are a way to update parameters in your theme quickly without having to change theme code. New settings parameters may be added by clicking on Add setting

To simply update your logo, first upload the image to your Assets then via Settings find the settings.logo value and update this to your logo image
